This is the first time that I have blogged. I have read many sports blogs but have never participated in the discussion. The biggest step for me was understanding how to maneuver through the maze of technological  information. This has always been a frustrating endeavor for me. After having my first video seminar tonight and realizing that I was not the only one having problems, I felt a little better about the endeavor of starting my own blog. Blogging can be an important component in a virtual classroom like the one we have now. Being able to collaborate with class mates and instructors on ideas can be very important when trying to research a topic or help someone else with a problem. The African proverb "It takes a village" helps me define what a blog is.and how it can help solve a problem. With everyone understanding the topic and giving their opinions, the issue or idea can be expanded on in a way that previously it could not. I hope that the usage of my blog and others will help myself and the other class members to maneuver through the different classes in a smoother manner. I will have to make an effort each week to utilize this tool so I can be proficient in it.
